THESE ARE NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE TYPICAL RETURNS I HAVE GOTTEN
IN THE PAST AND ARE CERTAINLY NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF TYPICAL RETURNS
I WILL BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE IN THE FUTURE.
It is fun to trot
out the trophy-winners--but I have to tell you that I have had a few
"dogs", too. Some companies I have invested in have lost
most of the investment; some have gone bankrupt. The stock market
is riskier than other alternatives, and I’m not perfect, so I
always keep my funds diversified. Right now, each of these funds has
between 35 and 50 individual holdings--so that one or two stocks failing
won't overly-affect the net results of the fund.
