October’s Stock Pick

Okay–it’s Micronetics, Inc.
Risky. Very small company. I’m not going to put Grandma’s nest egg in this one, but my portfolio is a little short on technology stocks and this one did show up on my screen. So I’ll buy some tomorrow.
They make wireless components and test equipment. I like their symbol: NOIZ. There was an article I read this last week (FORTUNE? FORBES?) about companies that got a boost in price when they changed to a “cute” symbol. For instance, Harley Davidson (which I used to own and made a good profit on) used to be HDI and now it is HOG. Cute, huh? And their stock got a boost when they did that. What a brilliant way to invest, I say! So this month, I’m buying “cute”.
Happy investing!
